Local Tournament – 7 Jan 2012
There was a local tournament today; being the last tournament of the holidays I’d figured I’d go. Anyway, on to what I was playing. I brought 1 deck with me (FrogLancer, Currently my favorite deck) but before the tournament I bought a Dark World deck (Got a great deal). So I decided to play Dark World, or more specifically Skill Drain Dark World.

It was a good size torny, 5 Rounds Top 8
Round 1: Zain (Some kind of Karakuri Plant)
I remember this game vaguely; I remember getting a good hand at some point.
I won however, score being 2-1
Round 2: Achmat (Chaos thing I guess)
Game 1 he kept attacking me with spirit reaper and at some point discarded a Grapha, which activates Grapha’s second effect; I randomly selected Gorz from his hand. It was special summoned to my side, later I tribute his Gorz for Deck Devastation Virus. I admit I misplayed, in my opening hand I had a Dark Hole, I used Dark World Dealings and discarded Snoww attempting to search, but I had forgotten about Thunder Kings effect, I should’ve played Dark Hole first.
Game 2: Not a great hand, he won this game.
Game 3: Quite a good hand (I think I had dragged down into the Grave and 1 or 2 mind crush)
I won, score being 2-1
Round 3: Mutaalib Gaffoor (Dino Rabbit)
I opened up horribly (Dark World and their consistency) with all s/t and 1 Grapha, which he DustShooted. Game 2 wasn’t much better; he played D. Fissure, Detached a material off Leviar, Special Summoning Rescue Rabbit. Then said the detached card goes to the grave, I said I knew, he said I was the only person he played that knew that ruling.

Round 4: Taariq (agent fairy)
He opened really badly; I got a peek into his hand via Dragged Down. I won game 1. He thought he got to choose what to discard! But I said no, I choose.
Game 2 was tighter, he had a badish hand (2 P.o.D, Hyperion) He did shine ball shenanigans. I won this game somehow can’t really remember.
Score being 2-0 to me.
Round 5: Uqual (Watts)
He was playing a deck that I’ve been building. Watts. I Deck Devastation Virused him (Which was truly Devastating), he discarded 5 cards, and lost his field. He packed.
Game 2, Deck Dev got him again. I won

I played Wesley; I won the first game mainly because he used gottoms to discard a couple Dark Worlds from my hand. In short I won Game 1. Game 2 was his, I drew quite badly.
Game 3 consecrated light locked me down, I needed to get a discard card to discard Grapha in order to destroy it. That card never came
